back to our expeditions
At the beginning of year 2005 we went to the United
Kingdom of Great Britain. We had the pleasure of visiting various places that are worth recommendation to
anyone who has the chance to come to England. We're not talking about huge and crowded cities like London
or Manchester, but places when you can find relief from the tumult of great cities.
Those places
were:
| • |
Yorkshire Dales National Park |
| • |
Lake District National Park (Cumbria) - which combines the features of Polish Mazury
Lake District and the Tatra Mountains, i.e. numerous lakes at the feet of tall mountains |
| • |
Barrow in Furnnes by the Irish Sea, together with Walney Island |
| • |
High Peak District, known for its moonlike landscape and beautiful moorlands |
| • |
The town of Whitby by the North Sea, and the particularly attractive oceanarium in
Scarborough |
| • |
Formy by the Irish Sea - sporting dunes and vast beaches |
